Human Rights Centre (HRC)

The Human Rights Centre (HRC) is an academic division that supports teaching, research and university extension concerning human rights at the Faculty of Law of UEM, established in 2005 owing to European Union support through a partnership project with the Human Rights League, the Ministry of Interior and organization such as ISCOS and GVC.

The HRC’s objectives are:

• Establishment of a Centre to support teaching, research, documentation and a provide advice to public entities and NGOs in the field of human rights;
• Provide assistance in incorporating the principles of human rights into the professional practice of lawyers and those working in the administration of justice.
