Research Support
Eduardo Mondlane University is committed to promoting and boosting scientific research. To this end, the institution is dedicated to raising and allocating financial, material and human resources for this purpose at various levels.
The role of UEM in facilitating and encouraging scientific research is twofold. Firstly, it provides opportunities and incentives for the establishment of Centres of Excellence, which in turn ensure the coordination of targeted research. Secondly, it functions as a mechanism for demonstrating and disseminating research results through Technology Incubators and scientific events. Conversely, postgraduate training constitutes a pivotal element in augmenting research activities at institutional level.
The following are sources of funding for scientific research at UEM:
- State budget appropriations;
- Funds provided by national and international partners;
- Joint programs funds/ productive sector projects and society;
- Delivery services revenues;
- Postgraduation Programmes Tuition fees;
- Loans; and
- Others
