The Policy Analysis Centre (CAP) of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FLCS) of the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) is a specialized unit dedicated to advanced research, applied research and provision of services in the fields of governance and public administration, population, land, natural resources and conflicts studies.
The Policy Analysis Centre (CAP) was formed through the amalgamation of three research centres: the Centre for Population Studies (CEP), the Centre for Land Studies (NET), and the Centre for Good Governance and Public Administration Studies (NEGAP). This integration occurred in accordance with an Order issued by the Office of the Rector of Eduardo Mondlane University on 16 April 2008 (No. 062/RT/2008). Consequently, CAP has assumed a range of functions and activities previously undertaken by these research units individually.
CAP has three main areas of intervention:
Developing its activities naturally, CAP aims to achieve a dimension of a think tank in order to address the challenges facing the country as it moves towards regional integration.
