Engineering Studies Centre

The Engineering Studies Centre – A Production Unit (CEE-UP) is responsible for establishing the link between the Faculty of Engineering at Eduardo Mondlane and the productive sector, including industry and the wider community.

As a Centre for Engineering Studies, it is focused on engineering applications, research and development encompassing the following objectives:

  • Enable lecturers to carry out professional activities through projects and consultancy at CEE-UP or on the market.
  • Contribute to the development and resolution of engineering problems in Mozambique through a systematic, coordinated and integrated use of its capacities, resources and the development of new technologies or adaptation of existing ones;
  • Assessing the quality of the education offered by the Faculty of Engineering so as to cater for the needs of industry through a constant comparison;
  • Provide material and financial resources to improve the living and working conditions at the Faculty of Engineering;
  • Ensure that the Faculty of Engineering is upgraded in a continuous basis and integrated into new developments taking place in the country, bringing current challenges and opportunities to the faculty.
